Ride a Harley-Davidson on this scenic motorcycle tour through three states.

Some of the most popular destinations for bikers are located in the states of Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Arizona is also called the “Grand Canyon State”, and our route will of course take us to the very canyon.

We will be going through some of the most beautiful areas of the three states, and we are going to experience national parks, forests, rivers and clear sky on this scenic motorcycle route.

Day 1
We set out from a major European airport and fly to Phoenix, Arizona. After arrival to the airport, we go to our hotel near by. After a brief introduction to the tour, we will have dinner together and subsequently a well-deserved sleep.

Day 2
We will spend the day on sightseeing in Phoenix and on recovering from the long flight. In the evening we will all go out for dinner, and we will have an introduction to the tour we have ahead of us.

Day 3
At 9 a.m., we go to the motorcycle rental company to pick up our motorcycles. After that we go down the old Route 60 and continue down Route 95 to Parker, where we will have lunch. After lunch, we continue to Lake Havasu. We are going to see the world-famous ”London Bridge” that was bought by McGulloch – a behemoth in the chain saw industry – for 2.4 million dollars and moved to Lake Havasu, where it was reconstructed. Today, it is the second biggest attraction after Grand Canyon. We stay overnight at Lake Havasu.

Day 4
We head for glitter and gold, or to be more precise, Las Vegas. Via the cowboy town of Oatman we go to Laughlin, an old town along Route 66, and continue down Route 95 to Las Vegas, where we will be staying at the ”Golden Nugget” casino down at Freemont Street, which is known from many films.

The pedestrian street is the largest roofed shopping street in the world and has the most fabulous light show that is on every night. On our way to Las Vegas we will pass the Hoover Dam, one of the largest water driven sources of power in the world.

Day 5
Today, we are going to Grand Canyon, one of the largest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Over thousands of years, the Colorado River has traversed the landscape and created this wonder. On the way, we will stop at the Hoover Dam and then go on to Kingman. Afterwards, we go to the old Route 66 town of Seligman and to Williams. We stay overnight in the vicinity of Grand Canyon.

Day 6
From our hotel, we go along the Grand Canyon and halt several places on the way. In places, the canyon is more than 1,600 metres deep. Grand Canyon and the surrounding area is the reservation of the Navajo, Hopi, Paiute, Havasupai and Hualapai tribes of Native Americans. On the way, we will have several opportunities to buy pieces of jewellery and other arts and crafts, made by the local Native American artists.

We go on to Cameron and north via Route 89 to Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. We stay overnight in Kanab.

Day 7
We leave Kanab and go through one of the most beautiful national parks in the USA, the Zion National Park. On the way, we will stop by several spectacular points from which there is a view. Afterwards, we go via Highway 15 to Cedar City, where we will have lunch. We go on down Route 14 to Bryce. We stay overnight in Capitol Reef.

Day 8
We leave Capitol Reef and go to Hanksville, further south on Route 95. On the way, we will visit Glenn Canyon, White Canyon and the Natural Bridges National Monument. In all three parks there are beautiful sceneries, each with its own characteristics.

After lunch we go through Monument Valley with its fantastic, coloured groups of rocks that – particularly at sundown – stand with the most beautiful, fiery red colours. It is not coincidental that many great American film directors have shot several westerns in this area.

We stay overnight in Kayenta.

Day 9
Today, we go to Sedona, an incredibly beautiful city that is known for the many artists residing there. From Kayenta, we go to Tuba City and south along Route 89 to Wupatki National Monument with its many well-preserved ruins of the Native Americans. We go on to the Sunset Crater National Monument, created by a river of lava which flowed as far as the eye can see. The eruption occurred more than 900 years ago. We go through Flagstaff, an old town along Route 66, before we arrive at Sedona. We will also go through Red Rocks.

Day 10
From Sedona, we go back to Phoenix. We go towards Cottonwood, and on the way to Phoenix we are going to visit several known locations, i.a. Montezuma Castle, an ancient cliff dwelling of the Native Americans. We go along Highway 17 through Tonto National Forest that is known for its special cactuses. After handing over our motorcycles at the rental company, there will be transfer back to the hotel.

Day 11
The day is at your own disposal until it is time to go to the airport.
